Police State Watch: Officers Accused Of Screening Dates Using Police System

Court documents show that Fairfield Police Officers Stephen Ruiz and Jacob Glashoff used company time and equipment to search for women on internet dating sites.
The documents also show that two used the California Law Enforcement Telecommunications System – a statewide police database – to screen the women they liked.
“I feel like it’s an abuse of their power, using it for their own personal gain,” said Fairfield resident Carlos Thompson.

Wicked World: Mother charged with child endangerment for allowing a man to sleep with her daughter, ELEVEN, and get her pregnant

  • The 37-year-old Iowa woman allegedly did nothing when her daughter told her that a family friend Jacob White, 24, was having sex with her
  • White charged with third-degree sexual abuse
An Iowa mother was arrested on child endangerment charges after it was discovered that her 12-year-old daughter became pregnant after being allowed to sleep with a grown man.

The 37-year-old woman from Newton was taken into custody Friday following an investigation that revealed that the mother did nothing to stop 24-year-old Jacob White, a family friend, from sharing her then-11-year-old daughter’s bed.

MailOnline is not releasing the woman's name to protect the identity of her daughter due to the nature of the crime.

The mother allegedly ignored comments from multiple witnesses that White was having sex with the girl.

According to police, the victim also tried to tell her mother about White's behavior, but the woman would not listen.

When a recent doctor’s visit revealed that the young girl was expecting, the 12-year-old allegedly said to her mother:’I tried to tell you several times,' stated a police report obtained by Newton Daily News. Jacob White now faces a third-degree sexual abuse charge for allegedly impregnating the child.

The girl and the man twice her age reportedly slept together in April and May, but the mother took no action.

Police State Watch:Satellites may soon be able to snap photographs of your face

Satellites run by Google and other private companies may soon have the ability to capture images of a person’s face and other sensitive information if federal restrictions continue to loosen from lobbying.
According to Motherboard, North America’s largest satellite company, DigitalGlobe, is currently lobbying the government to relax federal regulations regarding what’s permissible to show in photographs taken from space, despite the fact that these rules were just loosened in June.
Two months ago, the Commerce Department cleared the way for satellites to begin capturing images of objects larger than 25 centimeters. Previously, objects had to be bigger than 50 centimeters in order to be shown legally in photographs.
This week, DigitalGlobe is launching a new satellite, dubbed the “Worldview-3,” in order to take advantage of the new rules, but just as noteworthy is that the company is hoping the Commerce Department will lower the threshold once again, this time to 10 centimeters. “At 25 centimeters,” Motherboard’s Elyse Wanshel writes, “the images will be detailed enough to classify the make of a car. If the restrictions relax further, the plate number or owner's face could come into clear view.”
