Hell's Paradise

And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.Gen 3:6

While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.2 Pet 2:19

The righteous is more excellent than his neighbour: but the way of the wicked seduceth them.Prov 12:26

But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. Heb 3:13

The Devil's Bondage is always veiled to look like freedom. The fires of Hell are always veiled to look like the glories of Paradise and that was why the devil was able to make Eve (who had actually experienced the glories of God's Kingdom) to gladly throw away eternal life and chose hell and death. Sin is very deceitful because it  gives people the illusion of gratification when it is actually destroying the soul (your true essence).

The Deceitfulness of sin
If mine heart have been deceived by a woman, or if I have laid wait at my neighbour's door; Then let my wife grind unto another, and let others bow down upon her. For this is an heinous crime; yea, it is an iniquity to be punished by the judges. For it is a fire that consumeth to destruction, and would root out all mine increase. Job 31:9-12

And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. Rom 1:27

Job claimed that committing adultery was a fire that "consumed to destruction and would root out all his increase." Many adulterers today would disagree with Job. They would claim that adultery is infact a liberating habit because it grants them the opportunity to sample other partners and thereby makes their lives "less restrictive". They would tell us that adultery hasn't changed their financial status and would point to several famous adulterers who have led more "successful lives" than those who choose to stick to one partner

Paul claimed in the second verse above that Homosexuals "received in themselves the right recompense of their  error" Many Homosexuals today would disagree vehemently with Paul. They would tell us that they lead very healthy and happy lives and greatly enjoy their gay partnerships. They would even go as far as pointing to famous homosexuals as examples to back up their points

-“What is ‘real’? How do you define ‘real’? If you mean what we can taste, smell, hear and feel then what’s ‘real’ is nothing more than electrical signals interpreted by your brain.”
-Morpheus,excerpt from the movie:The Matrix

-Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.Ecc 8:11

So the big question is were Job and Paul lying when they stated those things? Were they simply ignorant of the pleasures that these sinful tendencies offered? The answer to those questions is a big resounding No. They were both speaking of the destructive effect that sin has on the soul. Sin is very deceitful. It can make a dead person feel alive (Eph 2:1)  It can make a poor person feel rich (Rev 3:17) It can make a  prisoner feel like a free man. (John 8:33). It can make the depths of hell look like the highest points of heaven ( Matt 11:23) :

We humans always tend to only look at the temporal gratification that sin offers our flesh and the pride that it gives to our mind and not on the destructive effect that it has on our souls.

-Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches. Psalms 73:12

-When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me; Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end. Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction.
How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors. Psalm, 73:16-19

.
-A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this. When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever.Psalm 92:6-7

Sin might offer high heights of ecstasy to our bodies and senses but it gradually destroys the soul. It is a destructive fire that consumes the soul eternally. Always flee from it
