Open your eyes

But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them. Matt 17:12
But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.Luke 17:25

It is such a big shame that while many professing Christians claim to be diligently awaiting Jesus return, majority of them have failed to recognize His arrival and have instead vehemently resisted it because they are not prepared to give up their preconceived ideas about how He is supposed to come.

When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe  (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day. 2 Thess 2:10

...Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. Jude 1:14-15

To these people, Jesus arrival is going to be a literal event evident to the physical eye (from the sky) and that is why they are yet to realize that their long awaited and 'beloved' Master has already come (and is still coming) with power in the hearts of His select ones around the world and is already using them to shatter the lies and deceptions of the devil, execute His Judgments and to declare liberty and restoration to the captives.

And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.
But their eyes were holden that they should not know him. Luke 24:15-16

And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them. And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight. Luke 16:30-31Like the disciples in the verses above (who knew Jesus earthly form but could not recognize His resurrected/spiritual form), we will never be able to recognize Jesus unless the eyes of our hearts are opened to His truth.

Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.Matt 25:44-45

May we not be like the people rebuked in the verses above. They saw Jesus but they never in their wildest imagination realized that it was Him until it was too late for them.
